Nace Dragon Gate USA con Gabe Sapolsky como vicepresidente

La promoción japonesa Dragon Gate anunció su expansión a los Estados Unidos, en la función de ayer en el Korakuen Hall de TokyoSerá conocida como Dragon Gate USA (DGUSA) y contará con Satoshi Oji como presidente y con el ex-programador de ROH, Gabe Sapolsky, como vice-presidente El primer show ya está programado para The Arena, en Philadelphia, el próximo 25 de Julio, con la presencia de CIMA, Dragon Kid, Naruki Doi y Masato Yoshino. DGUSA será la página oficial de esta organización

Dragon Gate nació en México en 1999 de la mano del Último Dragón, aunque actualmente es una promoción básicamente japonesa (Antes era conocida como Toryumon Japan, hasta que el Dragón dejó la promoción en el 2004), en Japón, promueve cerca de 250 eventos al año. Su estilo se enfoca a una cobinación de lucha mexicana y puroresu, con énfasis en movimientos aéreos de pesos crucero. De acuerdo a Sapolsky esperan convertirse en una marca premium para verdaderos fans de la lucha técnica Este anuncio aparece poco después de conocerse un conflicto económico entre Dragon Gate y Ring of Honor, (Dragon Gate y ROH eran promociones asociadas). El conflicto de acuerdo a CIMA, es que los elementos de Dragon Gate no recibieron paga por el evento de ROH en septiembre del 2008 en Japón, aunque ROH declaró que la acusación de CIMA es falsa
